Syracuse Motorsports Expo and Trade Show Cancelled for 2021, Show Looks Ahead to 2022

SYRACUSE, NY – The COVID-19 pandemic has struck again, this time taking down the annual Syracuse Motorsports Expo and Trade Show for the second time.

The yearly event held at the Center of Progress building at the New York State Fairgrounds has been forced to cancel the 2021 edition due to the ongoing restrictions caused by the pandemic.  Originally scheduled for March 13 and 14, the show’s promoters are now forced to look ahead to 2022.

“With the current restrictions in place it’s just not going to happen this year,” stated show promoter Jeremie Corcoran.  “We were hoping things would begin to open back up so we could have the show.  Things are getting better, but we’re just not to the point where we can have the show at the Fairgrounds this year.”

With that in mind, dates are already being planned for the 2022 edition of the event with March 11 being utilized at a setup day with the with the annual tradition carrying on March 12 and 13.  More details will follow once they become available.

Lots of Extras in Store for the Syracuse Motorsports Expo on March 14 & 15!

SYRACUSE, NY – The 34th Annual Syracuse Motorsports is just around the corner and once again the Center of Progress Building at the New York State Fairgrounds will be bustling at the brim with race cars, race tracks, sanctioning bodies and so much more!

New this year will be special Kids Zone by Marty’s Party Rentals which will feature a bounce house and more. Also with the kids in mind, in the Utica-Rome Speedway booth will be a crowd favorite dunk tank. All proceeds will be going to the Bobby Page Backpack Foundation which was formed in 2006 to help less fortunate kids in memory of Bobby who was taken at an young age of 25 with a battle of cancer. The foundation supplies fully stocked backpacks to kids in attendance on Back to School Night at Utica-Rome which will be August 16th.

The popular tire change contest will be part of the weekend’s activities again this year. Brought to you by Snap-On Tools and Power Seal, the winning team will go home with a cool prize.

Since under the promotional efforts of Jeremie Corcoran one of the most populars spots to visit in the show is the space filled up by Ashley Lynn Winery. The popular Waterloo, NY winery will be ready to promote all of their great products from wine to wine slashes.

The Syracuse Motorsports Expo started in 1986 at the Onondaga County War Memorial, moved to the New York State Fairgrounds shortly after and now has grown to be the largest Motorsports Exposition in New York.

Set up will be all day Friday with the show scheduled to be open on Saturday from 10AM – 8PM and on Sunday from 11AM-4PM. Admission prices are the same with Adults $13, Kids 6-12 $5 with 5 and under FREE. We will also have a special weekend Adult price of $20.

Syracuse Motorsports Expo Readies for it’s 34th Annual Extravaganza

SYRACUSE, NY – It’s time for the 34th Annual Syracuse Motorsports Exposition and Trade Show once again will be held at the Center of Progress Building located on the New York State Fairgrounds. March 14 & 15 are the dates where over 100 cars, dozens of tracks, organizations and so much more will be showcasing their product for the 2020 racing season.

On display will be dirt and asphalt modifieds, sprint cars, sportsman, micro sprints, pro stocks, go-carts, dragsters and so much more. Local dirt and asphalt tracks were also well represented and fans can expect to pick up the latest schedules, merchandise or just rub elbows and chat.

“The Syracuse Expo is a fun show where everyone is upbeat and ready to get the season started. It always feels like the official start to racing season here in upstate NY,” said Corcoran on the long running show, “I can’t thank everyone enough for making it a tremendous event. From the race tracks, sanctioning bodies to the cars, sponsors and especially the fans. We try to make each year more special and fun.”
